Collarbones's Iconography, FBi, RRR, and Radio Adelaide album of the week, was released towards the end of march and played their Sydney album launch on April Fools' Day at Marrickville Bowls Club (I think that's what it's called anyway) opposite the Red Rattler.
We invented a game called "Don't Wake The Indian!", Cass's friend who she says is the same as me recognised me and said hello, I sucked at pool, a greatly enjoyable level of alcohol was consumed, "What's the question?", I saw Gage for the first time since December and we talked positively about having a jam, Con and I laughed at the guy in front of us who didn't know "Waiting for the ghosts" because he'd only heard of Collarbones probably from Triple J.
Cleptopeon did a sick set. Much more accessible than a usual Cleptoclectics set, and I've never seen Peon to be able to judge about him. They slipped "Scrubs" by TLC in there at the end. Fishing were great too and Brandon who was on the desk thought they were the best of the night.
Everyone went nuts for Collarbones, even/especially when Marcus blew the speakers his mic was running through. "Swag! Swag! Swag!". It's good to see Marcus perhaps taking the performance a bit more professionally than usual. He still expressed his personality by laughing at the situation and trying to shout when his mic was blown... and crowd surfing at the end.
