The conversation I had with the middle child of the China family today went down something like this:

Anastasia: "We're going home on Sunday so there's only 3 days of swimming left. Today, Wednesday and Thursday."
Tim: "Aww ok. Well this will be the last time I'll see you then, because I won't be here this Thursday."
Anastasia: "Why not?"
Tim: "I'm going on holidays"
Anastasia: "What about Wednesday?"
Tim: "Nah, I don't work on Wednesdays"
Anastasia: "Oh, you're just a kid! ...Are you even married?!"
Tim: "No..."
Anastasia: "Yeah! You're definitely a kid!"

Apparently you've got to be married and work full time to qualify as an adult haha. It really reminded me of Phoebe Weatherfield Caulfield. I'll miss teaching them. They're good kids. Also, meeting them has me extremely curious about the lifestyle they lead in Shanghai and the type of people they will be when they realise the uniqueness of their upbringing.
