And this time I'm borrowing from liverpoolfc.tv's format for fans' previews.

Happy with your summer's work? On paper, I suppose I'm content with what's happened. Our midfield lynchpin, Xabi Alonso, is gone but hopefully Alberto Aquilani will be able to fill the void when he's fit. Johnson for Arbeloa is obviously a good improvement. Losing Sami could end up hurting us, though.

How's the boss doing? Well, I'm very happy with the way he's got the likes of Stevie G, Torres, Dirk Kuyt and Dagger to sign contract extensions. Keeping Javier Mascherano was a good piece of damage control by Benitez. I can't fault him for letting Alonso go. His heart was elsewhere.

Player to watch? Ryan Babel, Alberto Aquilani, Lucas. It's about time Ryan Babel got a shot at the big time, I think. He's got the attributes, this is the year he's just got to knuckle down and show us what he can do. It's amazing how he gets in the Dutch national squad being a fringe player at club level. Central midfield is crucial for us this season. For years we've had a good selection of trusted players to choose from there (Dietmar Hamann, Momo Sissoko, Alonso, of course) so all eyes will be on Aquilani and Lucas throughout the season.

Boo boy? Oh, there are so many! Gareth Barry, for being a money-driven scum bag. Emmanuel Adebayor, Ashley Cole. If he dives, Didier Drogba.

Top four in order? Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal.

Relagated? The blue scum of Manchester, the lily white jew scum of London and Phil Brown. Hah, nah, probably Portsmouth, Hull and Burnley.

Part 3 comes out tomorrow.

won't make too much comment, except do NOT under ANY circumstances, base your title charge upon lucas. he's unfit to wear the shirt.

Well... I kinda am basing our title charge on Lucas. I'm basing it on how well we deal with losing our centre midfield strength. I mean... can we build on last season's formation just with different personnel or will we have to rethink our strategy because the new CM's don't cut it? I'm hoping the former.
