During the day (05.07) the wind blew so much Pat, Mike and Jamie abandoned their golf game after only 3 holes. Ryan, Gareth, Max, and I didn't even bother making our way out there. At night, things got pretty gloomy until our power was cut, interrupting our game of Emperors and Peasants, a John Dunne favourite. I ate Shapes, some Kettle chips and a small bit of cold lasagne for dinner. We congregated in the middle cabin whose gas heater we had by chance left on all evening and took out the extra blankets. Three families, one flashlight pointed at the ceiling for light, Jack Johnson playing on the battery-powered iPod speakers. It was only about 9:30 but it felt much later so it was probably the earliest ever dnm in history. A large tree hit the cabin outside the window of the bathroom where Michelle was at the time and I have to admit, on the top bunk, I was a little worried as to what else might happen.
