On Monday (21st Feb) we were planning on leaving for Glasgow around midday. We had to go back to Holyrood 9A because Vicki left her phone there and we stayed for breakfast. The train ride was only like an hour or so. At first we got out of the train station because we thought we had to get on the metro but not so so we had to go back in. The train guy let me back in without having to buy a new ticket just to get in because Celtic won the day before and he was in a good mood. We found our hostel after some trouble. It was raining and we didn't have a map. We had to use the iPhone but couldn't always look at it because of the rain and because we were lugging our bags around. Vicki got pissed off at me for offering to help her get her bags up stairs. A fire I might or might not have stoked after I realised this haha.
We went and had lunch at this sweet cafe that was playing Modest Mouse. It had newspapers for its patrons (I hadn't read one in ages). I had a mushroom strog and a mocha. Then we went to an art museum for a bit. After this we bought some ingredients for a home-cooked dinner which was a good change from the heavy breakfasts. Finally we went to the Glasgow film festival and watched an absolutely terrible movie called "The Island" or something whose highlight was the weird accents and the fact the main character's name was "Nikki Black" and the film itself was a "Nikki Black Production". The directors/producers or something were there to talk afterwards but we left. Also, I got really hot and was hyperventilating for some reason.
| Our gluten-free pasta which tasted pretty shit. Vicki felt heaps sick from the beautiful smell of grilling salmon which made me really crave it. |
