After Splendour, at Broken Social Scene's side show this guy next to me was woot-wooing right into my ear towards Kevin Drew. That's the first time I've genuinely feared my love of music is damaging my hearing. "Generation deaf" reckons you damage your ears within 15 minutes of being at a gig... I go to one about every 2-3 weeks! Admittedly, it's a pretty vague article about when permanent hearing damage sets in but I guess it's only logical that putting yourself at risk at all isn't the best thing to do.
