I wonder if there exists team who isn't in transition.
In any case, this season, Liverpool definitely are. Rafa has left but the apocalypse that threatened didn't quite occur. Javier, the mercenary, left for his dream club; Yossi went to Chelsea, supposedly for more first team football; Aqua went home. Alberto Riera, Emiliano Insua were pushed out and will not be sorely missed. (Sadly, Fabio Aurelio was resigned and Lucas wasn't given the boot...) I don't quite know how Roy Hodgson has done it but Liverpool actually has a decent-looking squad. Joe Cole (free), Milan Jovanovic (free), Christian Poulsen, Raul Meireles, Paul Konchesky, Danny Wilson, Jonjo Shelvey and Brad Jones have been brought in and, while I don't particularly like a couple of them, they might actually be able to keep us in the mix for Europe. I'll be happy with 4th place in May.
The transfer window has closed and the Roy Hodgson era has started proper. This is a belated goodbye to the Rafulation. At times it really was magical...
