Mum brought up an interesting point: we (and the media) really underplayed or forgot all about the sexist, Christian, homophobic voters. Labor did try to sway Liberals' xenophobic voters with their East Timor solution. They obviously couldn't win them all and the conservative public who're too set in their ways voted Abbott. We should never have let it get to this! The wait continues...
