It's certainly hard to avoid being retrospective right now.

When life is framed with not just a beginning but an end as well

It really is impossible to avoid the cliché of

All of a sudden

Realising what's really important or being thankful for what you have.

I'm really just thankful for being here and able to do the things I do

Especially as everything seems to be going right just now.

I've been on the move quite a bit this weekend - catching up with a few people -

Though there are many others I still need to see.

The cricket season is back. I didn't get a duck and I did get a wicket.

Work is going swell. I just got a bit of a promotion.

Uni's fine (hopefully those essays will come back with decent marks).

I've also been making music again which I've really been enjoying.

Along with a stack of things not worth mentioning.

I'm just trying to enjoy it all while it lasts, working hard to keep it all interesting.

I suppose the lesson is to never take anything for granted.

It's nothing ground-breaking, I know.

It's strange seeing year 12s finishing their high school lives -

How the same circle closes every year for a different group.

To everyone who just graduated:

Congratulations!

Enjoy the in between period, take it all in.

If you're not excited, you should be.
