Dappled Cities (Fly) played the Metro at the just-passed weekend.
As usual they had a great live show.
This time they dressed up in black suits
With Xmas tree lights wound around their bodies.
Pretty much like in the video clip of their latest single "The Price"
Which you can view below.
The girl in front of me had a short ponytail
Which kept getting in my eyes.
I bit at it a couple of times
But I don't think she noticed.
When I started yelling the lyrics to "Holy Chord" like a crazy person
She moved away.
I was cheered.
They played a blend of Granddance and Zounds
And even chucked in a few "Fly" songs
Which was really good of them.
"Something should be holding us back!"
Sadly, I didn't get any photos or videos of my own as
I didn't bring my camera.
I'm carin' that you think it's lame or annoying that I was genuinely disappointed at forgetting it, Ryan. Ha ha.
And yes, I've noticed that almost nobody responds to me, even when I do shout them out.
I did get a couple other things though
As I had a V.I.P. ticket.

A copy of Zounds signed personally by the band.
Look!
They even addressed it to me!
(It was probably just Tim Derricourt "signing" his name but I'd like to think the former, of course.)
A shirt designed by Dave Rennick.
Which I will wear with pride
Despite the canary shade of yellow I couldn't/didn't choose.
"What does it mean to take off all our clothes
And look into your eyes and say I mean it?"

Gotta love the (Fly).
So what's the chance of me borrowing the signed Zounds?
I'll bring it to that cafe in Illawong?
Unless you're talking about keeping it for a little while...
Though I know how much you like your cd's, Con, so I may consider leaving it with you if that's what you wanted haha.
