What a great race Nicki Sorensen rode last night?! And what a way to claim his first Tour de France stage victory!
With team Astana constantly monopolising proceedings, my beloved Team Saxo Bank aren't doing as well as they perhaps would have liked. Team leader Andy Schleck is (at time of writing) a whole 00:01:49 off the Yellow Jersey, brother Frank is a further 36s back and workhorse Kurt-Asle Arveson has gone home injured. Nicki's win has got the morale back up I'm sure.
One man who never needs excuses to be positive, though, is Jens Voigt, my favourite rider. While his loyalty and determination put him up there with the very best, it is his interviews in English that set him apart from the rest - he's an absolute freak! He makes Cadel Evans look boring and uninspiring. Oh wait.
